2^nd SEPT,WORLD COCONUT DAY.

September 2 has been designated Coconut Day by the Asian and Pacific Coconut Community (APCC) headquartered at Jakarta, Indonesia. The APCC's foundation day also falls on September 2.

 
All major coconut-growing countries including India are members of the APCC. The celebration is aimed at creating awareness about the importance of the coconut and it’s potential in alleviating poverty, encouraging investments and promoting the development of the coconut industry in the member countries.

World Coconut Day is all about coconuts. It’s a celebration for those with coconut-knowhow and hopefully enlightening to those yet to discover this magical fruit (not nut!). Please take this opportunity to consider coconuts for a second – with the knowledge that other people around the world are doing the same. Established in 2009.

At Kozhikkode there was one Ramadas Vaidyar, who established training for coconut climbing years together since new generation is not coming foreword for this job. Our young generation is interested in white color job only. Now all these jobs are extended to North Indian workers. 

Develop Coconut trees, Use Coconuts, use coconut oil.
