September
2 has been designated Coconut Day by the Asian and Pacific Coconut Community
(APCC) headquartered at Jakarta, Indonesia. The APCC's foundation day also
falls on September 2.
Mother's Day is a celebration
honoring mothers and motherhood,
maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on
various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in spring (e.g., April–May
in the northern hemisphere, October in Argentina, but northern hemisphere
spring, May, in Australia). It complements Fathers day, a similar
celebration honoring fathers.
India
finally achieved freedom from the British colonial rule on 15 Aug 1947. “ At
the stroke of midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India awoke to life and
freedom”
Republic Day honours the date on which the Constitution of India came into force on
26 January 1950 replacing the Govt of India Act (1935) as the
governing document of India.
